What Are Elements?
Elements are a core character stat system in Broken Blade that provide passive bonuses to your build. Each element gives a specific combat effect such as bonus damage, attack speed, crit damage, or sustain. Elements unlock at level 500, which is the same milestone where race rerolls become available.
Once unlocked, your character is assigned a random element. You can change it by using Element Reroll items obtained from the Velik boss or through trading with other players. Each reroll pulls from the full element pool, so results are random and the rarity of the element determines how likely you are to roll it.
There are 6 elements in the game, ranging from Common to Mythical rarity. Higher-rarity elements like Thunder and Fire provide significant damage bonuses that directly impact your clear speed in boss fights and Boss Rush.
How to Get Elements
- Reach level 500 to unlock the element system.
- Farm the Velik boss for Element Reroll items.
- Use an Element Reroll from your inventory to roll a new random element.
- Each roll is independent. Higher-rarity elements like Thunder (Mythical, ~3.6%) are much harder to obtain than Common elements like Earth (~54.6%).
- You can also trade with other players for specific elements if trading is available.
Do not spend all your rerolls at once. Decide on your weapon type first, then target the element that best matches your build.

Mythical
Thunder is the only Mythical element. It provides +50% Crit Damage, making it the strongest element for crit-focused builds. With a ~3.6% drop rate, you need to farm Velik consistently.
Legendary
Fire (+50% Damage) is the Legendary element and the most reliable damage boost in the game. At ~8.8% drop rate, it is more obtainable than Thunder and works with every weapon type.
Epic & Below
Wind, Life, Water, and Earth fill out the lower tiers. These are usable for leveling but should be rerolled once you have a clear endgame build direction.
